The Course

Award-Winning Golf in the Heart of Georgia

Houston Lake Country Club is located in Perry, Georgia, just 7 miles east of I-75 and is affectionately known as “the home of fast greens and friendly people.” The golf course sits along the shoreline of the beautiful 135 acre Houston Lake, and features 18 holes of championship quality golf with 5 sets of tees, ensuring an enjoyable experience for any skill level player.

During a round of golf at Houston Lake, narrow shots to manicured fairways will lead to dramatic approach shots to large, undulating greens. Golfers will experience a true test of club selection, as almost every club in the bag will be used. The crown jewel of the golf course, the 18th hole, requires a tee shot that must avoid the lake in front of the tee box and along the entire right side of the hole. The approach shot requires another attempt to clear the lake that cuts in to the narrow fairway in front of the well-bunkered green. The 18th hole is truly an outstanding finishing hole with a breathtaking view, and has been recognized as “One of Georgia’s Best Golf Holes” by the Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

The golf course at Houston Lake Country Club has also been rated among the “Top 50 in the State of Georgia” by the AJC; as a “Top 10 Semi-Private Course” by Georgia Golf News; as one of “America’s Best” by Golf Week Magazine; and as “Best of the Best Golf Course in Houston and Peach Counties” by The Telegraph a remarkable five times.

Houston Lake Country Club has a rapidly growing Junior Golf program that includes Operation 36, Junior Play Days, the HLCC Junior League, and our summer Junior Golf Clinic. The Junior Golf program allows our golf professionals to provide one on one instruction with junior golfers while developing a passion for the game of golf.

Golf Outings

Houston Lake Country Club provides the finest tournament and group outing services in Middle Georgia. HLCC has an ample amount of experience with a variety of tournament and outing formats and sizes. Dress Code

Golf Course and Range

To preserve the tradition, atmosphere, and standards of our Club, all Members and Guests are expected to dress in appropriate country club and golf attire at all times.  Proper dress is required on the golf course, practice facilities, clubhouse, and all dining areas unless otherwise noted for special events.

Club management reserves the right to determine appropriate attire.

Gentlemen

Collared golf shirts, slacks or trousers, Bermuda-length shorts and hats worn forward are appropriate.  Denim, athletic wear, t-shirts, cut-offs are not appropriate. (t-shirts are permissible for children under 16 years of age).

Ladies

Collared shirts, golf skirts or skorts, Bermuda-length shorts, dresses (appropriate length), hats worn forward are appropriate.  Denim, athletic wear, t-shirts, cut-offs are not appropriate. (t-shirts are permissible for children under 16 years of age).

Shoes

Soft Sole and Soft Spiked golf shoes are appropriate

Juniors and Guests

Junior Members and Guests are expected to adhere to the same standards as adult Members.

Clubhouse
